Closing the Gap: Improving Access to Mental Health Care Through Enhanced Training in Residency

NEW PolicyLab Research: “Closing the Gap: Improving Access to Mental Health Care Through Enhanced Training in Residency”

These patients face a number of barriers to care, including lack of detection in primary care settings and long wait times for mental health specialist appointments. PolicyLab researcher Stephanie Doupnik, MD, recently published a perspective piece in Pediatrics that provides concrete ways to better equip pediatricians with the tools and training they need to meet the mental health needs of their patients.
